My name is Paolo Fontani and I would like to introduce myself since I was recently hired as the Director of Evangelization and Discipleship of the parish. My wife and I have been SEAS parishioners for 29 years and I’m humbled to be in this role now.
I see my role in two parts: First with regards to discipleship. We are all called to be disciples of Jesus, so we’re invited to reflect on what it is to be a disciple and how to grow each day deeper in that identity.
The second one is with regards to evangelization: the Great Commission that Jesus speaks (Mt 28:19) is for all of us… individually and by name. Out of that personal calling we can also talk about being an organized Church but make no mistake that the calling is very personal. How do we live this out? How do we grow in this reality and calling? How do people hear the Good News of the Gospel from me and from you? These are questions to ask and to try to answer every day.
For these two parts I’m here to help and support our growth and effort. I’m here to serve the parish and you in particular.
I invite you to reach out to me with your ideas, comments, offers to help, your stories, and your concerns. My contact information is on the website.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
¡Hola familia latina! Quería saludarlos en nuestro idioma. En mi nuevo papel aquí en la parroquia enfocado en discipulado y evangelización me daría mucho gusto conocerlos y estoy a sus ordenes.
